The most important thing for peace is to help everyone want it, and encourage people to believe it is possible. Gandhi said: The cry for peace will be a cry in the wilderness, so long as the spirit of nonviolence does not dominate millions of men and women. And thus it is. World leaders can create peace for a moment, with treaties or agreements, but unless the hearts of the people desire and are committed to peace, it will only last a moment. And if the hearts of the people are committed to peace, then world leaders will be powerless to stop it.
